On September 8, more than 250 new Dodge County High School Indians were motivated to apply the mental stamina and fortitude needed to excel beyond their wildest dreams in the next four years and beyond.
In order to prepare the ninth graders for their high school years, Jostens held its sixth annual “Commit to Graduate” ceremony in the DCHS lunchroom.

The ceremony included a motivational speech showing the students the importance of staying focused in high school and being an active member in the student body.
At the end of the ceremony, each student approached a teacher or administrator and stated their name, graduating class, and an oath to graduate. They then signed a banner to represent their recently made promise.
Every student who participated was also given a green “Commitment to Graduate” bracelet signifying
their commitment to achieving their goal of graduating in four years. The students are encouraged to wear the bracelets as a reminder of their promise to graduate.
“We are very proud to have our 252 ninth graders at DCHS,” stated DCHS Principal Dr. Susan Long. “We are looking forward to every single one of them graduating.”
