Eastman Police, along with Dodge Deputies, executed a Search Warrant on an Eastman Housing Authority Apartment on Martin Luther King Jr Drive “On The Hill”.
At around 5:00 pm., residents in the area began seeing a large amount of Police Presence in the apartment complex and started wondering what was happening. Police seemed to be gathered around apartment number 514.
A short time later, Officers were seen bringing fishing poles and other bagged items from the apartment.
Investigator Gary Widner said the search was in connection with an active investigation of burglaries of rental storage units. Apparently a rash of burglaries have been occurring in Eastman and surrounding communities of storage units. “It’s too early to release any information, but we are actively investigating” said Widner.
